This website is a tribute to the exceptional Ferrari 330 America, a car I am honored to own, with chassis# 5113.
Background & Development
The 330 America a limited-production grand tourer produced by Ferrari in 1963 and was essentially a Ferrari 250 GTE 2+2 but fitted with a larger 4.0-liter Colombo V12 engine instead of the 3.0-liter V12 found in the 250 series. It was introduced as an interim model before the official launch of the Ferrari 330 GT 2+2 in 1964.
Production Details
Only 50 units of the 330 America were built, making it a rare model. It retained the same Pininfarina-designed body as the 250 GTE, making it visually almost identical. The main difference was the more powerful Type 209 V12 engine, producing 300 hp (up from 240 hp in the 250 GTE). The chassis number sequence continued from the 250 GTE series, making it part of the early 330 lineage.
